Save Money with Waukesha Plumbing, LLC

When deciding on which parts to use in your home, we choose parts that offer true quality and value. Sometimes the price on these parts is no different, and sometimes it's slightly higher. And that's ok - we're not overly concerned about being the absolute lowest quote (anyone can do that by cutting a corner). We'd rather give you truly exceptional work at a competitive price. You and your home deserve no less.

If you value quality work done right (and at a fair price), we'd love to give you a quote - click here to contact us, or read on to learn a little bit about quality plumbing parts.

PIPING

There are two different types of PVC drain pipe- Solid core and Foam core. Solid core is 100% solid pvc. Foam core is a thin layer of PVC inside and outside the pipe with foam in between. Waukesha Plumbing uses Solid core only because it’s heavier, stronger and will be less brittle as the PVC ages.

There are three different grades of PEX water pipe – Grade A, B, and C(Its basically 3 different manufacturing processes). Grade A is what Waukesha Plumbing uses. Uponor Propex is the brand name of the PEX we use and it carries a 25 year warranty. We also use 100% Uponor Propex fittings and accessories. Our competition often mixes name brands which will void your 25 year warranty. Uponor Propex uses the expansion method of joining the pipe to the fittings. It takes a bit more time to install, but is the most proven method.

VALVES

There are two primary types of valves- Ball & Gate. Ball valves are modern ¼ turn valves. Gate valves are 1930’s technology multi-turn valves. Waukesha Plumbing uses high quality Nibco or Wolverine brass Ball valves, while some of our competition uses the lowest priced generic valves which can freeze up in two years or less.

We also use ¼ turn valves under sinks and behind toilets because they last longer and work easier. Very few plumbers think or care about small details like this, but we do!

PUMPS

Waukesha Plumbing only uses cast iron pumps made by Little Giant. Often they cost $10-20 more than the competitions plastic pumps, but last twice as long.

WATERHEATERS

There are 2 types of water heaters= Tank and Tankless. The Rheem Professional series tank water heater is 4% more efficient and has an extra 2 year warranty. AO Smith makes a hi-bred power vent tank water heater. It is 90% efficient and has a double sized burner which gives it extremely fast recovery and endless showers. Tankless heaters are 85% efficient and can be a great choice when endless hot water is needed. Waukesha Plumbing installs Rinnai and Noritz. The main difference between them is that the Noritz has a thicker heat exchange and a lower startup GPM.

TOILETS

Dual flush toilets are the best way to save water. There are 2 flushing buttons on the top of the toilet, 1 gallon for liquids and 1.6 gallons for solids. Waukesha Plumbing knows which toilets flush the best and strongly push our customers towards them. For a standard 1.6 gallon flush you cant beat the Toto Drake or the Kohler Cimerron. They are virtually unplugable.

FIXTURES

All faucets and fixtures used by Waukesha Plumbing are ‘plumber grade’. Big box stores sell a lower grade of faucets and fixtures with different parts. We prefer to use Kohler, Moen and Delta for all faucets because they are designed to last and easy to fix.
